Protecting, and enhancing the natural beauty of Terwilliger Parkway
Join us for our monthly (3rd Saturday of each month) work party ridding historic Terwilliger Parkway of invasive plants.
Friends of Terwilliger and Portland Parks and Recreation will be on hand to offer instruction, tools, gloves, and snacks as we show some love for one of Portland’s favorite places to run, bike, and hike.
Help Friends of Terwilliger and Portland Parks and Recreation restore Terwilliger Parkway and rid it of invasive plants such as English Ivy and Clematis.
**New meeting place: We will be working in George Himes Park, part of the Terwilliger Parkway. Park on SW Nebraska St, just off SW Terwilliger and look for the volunteer ivy removal project sign.
Please dress for the weather wearing long-sleeved shirts, long pants, and closed-toe shoes. Maybe rain gear??
At the end of the morning, you’ll have a sense of accomplishment and immediately see the efforts of your work. Bring some friends and share a “bonding” experience!!
