The history of Eagle Point dates back to our indigenous people who used this area as a meeting place. Once white settlers arrived the area was purchased by many entities, including Frederick A. Walpole, an illustrator employed by the US National Herbarium: now National Museum of Natural History.
In 1893 Walpole constructed his residence at the “crown” of Eagle Point. Please read more
