Terwilliger Parkway Clear Cut
Friends of Terwilliger received several calls/emails last month from concerned users of the Parkway regarding the many trees cut down uphill towards the OHSU campus.
After checking with our Portland Parks and Rec ecologist, we learned that this project is the second part of the “OHSU Underground Feeder upgrade segment 4.”
See the swath of trees removed for this project by the dark rectangle outlined below.
“PP&R owns and manages a quarter of the corridor that you see on-site, OHSU owns approximately 75%. 17 trees on Parks property have been removed. There will be a total of 132 trees planted for mitigation in the entire corridor” per PP&R ecologist/ SW Natural Areas.
